On Sunday night, Oscar awards 2018 held at Dolby Theatre. The host of the show was Jimmy Kimmel. At the night of 90th Academy awards many stars and movies got the awarded for their exceptional performances. Oscar 2018 paid tribute to our legendary actors Late Sridevi and Shashi Kapoor in their Memoriam Montage. These actors were remembered for their contributions to movie industry. Eddy Vedder took it to the stage of Oscar 2018 and paid a musical tribute to them through Tom Petty’s Song ‘Room at the top’.

Bollywood lost their first female superstar Sridevi on 24th February 2018 at Dubai. She was 54 when she died. The cause of her death was ‘accidental drowning’ as per the postmortem reports. Her death came out to be a great shock for the entire nation. Sridevi joined the acting career at the age of 4, and continuously she achieved a lot in her 50 year career. She had done more than 300 movies in 50 different languages. At the peak of her career she was offered a role in Jurassic Park, but she denied as things didn’t worked well. Some of her movies are Sadma, Chandni, Chaalbaaz, Mr. India, English Vinglish and Mom. Sridevi was honoured with Padmashree and got state honour at her cremation.

Shashi Kapoor was one of the precious gem of film industry. He died at the age 74 in December 2017. He was unwell and was on wheelchair. Shashi Kapoor gave a lot to entire film industry. He is known for many superhits of Bollywood. The famous dialogue of Shashi Kapoor “mere paas Ma hain” is still popular. He was a padmshree awardee. Shashi Kapoor had act in Ivory Merchant’s movies. Some of them are ‘Shakespeare Wallah'(1965), ‘The householder’ (1963), and ‘Heat and Dust’ (1983). He also got state honour by Maharashtra state at his cremation.
